A Beginning: Positioning the Researcher

My dissertation investigates how theater can be used to uncover and characterize Deaf leadership. Leadership in the Deaf culture seems to take on a form that is frequently not apparent to the mainstream hearing culture. It is my hope that this study will allow a Deaf cultural leadership style to be accessible to others so that it can be understood more fully.
