the Deaf community that glimpses the drama in the life stories of today's
generation and compares them with well known Deaf poetry, stories and
history. The richness and diversity of the community as it has grown,
confronting contemporary issues and suggesting a future of possibilities,
is performed in American Sign Language, spoken This script is the result of a qualitative research project that is studying Deaf leadership through the application of theater arts. All of the stories are real and credit should be given to those who contributed to the creation of the script either through revealing their own stories or by giving permission for their published works to be used. Thanks is given to all those who participated but wished to remain anonymous. |
